This document accurately describes how ScouTrail works today, based on the actual product and its codebase. Operator, contact, and governing-law details have been confirmed, but the document as a whole has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Don't rely on it as a finished legal document until it has.
About this agreement
ScouTrail is operated by Rotem Sade and is in a pilot phase. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
The service
ScouTrail scans AI answer engines against buyer questions you approve (today, that means Perplexity, with OpenAI's web-search tool available on accounts where it's configured, and more engines on our roadmap) and shows you plain, explainable visibility findings and evidence-backed recommendations. It does not measure or claim to measure an official AI ranking, and results are directional evidence, not a guarantee of what any specific person sees. Your account & workspace
You're responsible for the accuracy of the company information, competitor names, and buyer questions you provide, and for keeping your login credentials confidential. Each workspace represents one business you're scanning.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to bypass scan or question-approval limits by any means other than upgrading your plan.
- Use the service to scan, harass, or gather data on a business you don't represent.
- Attempt to access another workspace's data or interfere with the service's operation.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
Billing
Your first meaningful scan is free, subject to the limits described on the pricing section of the homepage. There is no additional free trial on top of it. Paid subscriptions are being activated now, at $39/month, one full scan included per billing month. The first 20 paying workspaces receive a one-time discount on their first payment only ($10 instead of $39), automatically reverting to the standard $39/month starting their second billing month. This is a time-limited discount on the one subscription plan, not a separate product. Additional scans beyond your monthly allowance may be available as a separate paid purchase; email hello@scoutrail.app if you need one and it isn't currently offered in your account.
Checkout, subscription renewal, cancellation, and payment method updates are all handled by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor and Merchant of Record. From your account you reach the "Manage billing" link, which opens Lemon Squeezy's own customer portal. Paid access is granted or changed only once we receive a verified payment confirmation from Lemon Squeezy, never simply because your browser was redirected back to our site after checkout. Refund requests go through Lemon Squeezy; we haven't yet published a specific refund policy beyond what they offer by default.
Data & third parties
Running a scan sends the text of your approved buyer questions to third-party AI providers (Perplexity always; OpenAI's web-search tool on accounts where it's configured). See our Privacy Policy for the full list of providers and what each receives.
No guarantees
The service is provided "as is" during this pilot phase, with no uptime service-level agreement. We don't guarantee that implementing a recommendation will increase how often AI engines mention your brand, and we don't claim any specific change caused any specific outcome. Before/after comparisons are observational, not causal claims.
Termination
You may stop using ScouTrail at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates the acceptable-use terms above.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScouTrail is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Specific liability caps and disclaimers will be finalized with legal review before this pilot moves to general availability.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. This clause, like this entire document, is a pilot-stage legal draft pending professional review. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and details like dispute-resolution venue may be added once it is.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date.
